FAQ for Trainers
How does commission work?
Standard plan trainers pay 20% per session. Premium ($199/mo) reduces this to 15%. Commission is deducted before your weekly Friday payout — no manual invoicing needed.
Can I set my own rates?
Yes — completely. Go to My Rates and set your price per session type. SettleSmart recommends a range but the final rate is entirely yours to decide.
What if a student doesn't show up?
No-shows without 2-hour notice entitle you to 50% of the session fee. Repeat no-shows are flagged and the student account may be restricted.
How do video sessions work?
Sessions run via Google Meet. When a student books through Cal.com, a real Google Meet link is automatically generated and sent to both you and the student by email. The Meet link also appears in your Sessions tab. No app download required — just click the link at session time.
Where does my Cal.com calendar sync from?
Your availability on SettleSmart is driven by your Cal.com account (cal.com/sttlesmart). Log in to Cal.com to update your available hours, buffer times, and Google Calendar connection. Changes reflect immediately on SettleSmart.
